The ‘Civil Protection – Forest Protection – Forest Firefighting Team of Peania’ has been providing its services within the wider region of the Municipality of Peania – Glyka Nera since 2011 and if necessary, contributes its resources not only to the neighbouring Municipalities, but to the Eastern portion of Attica as well – to the extent of its capabilities.
The team possesses three fire patrol vehicles and a vehicle (water tender) with a water tank of 5500 litres, as well as fourteen active volunteers trained by the Fire Academy, who are available 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, ready to respond to any situation that may arise.
